State Bank of India Staff Union Hyderabad Circle

The roots of the Union can be traced to State Bank of India Staff Union, Andhra Pradesh, formed in the year 1958, which started functioning separately in Hyderabad Circle since formation of Hyderabad Administrative Circle of the Bank in the year 1965.

Evolution of SBISUHC:

In the Extra-ordinary General Body Meeting of State Bank of India Staff Union, Andhra Pradesh, conducted at Hyderabad on the 25th December 1969, the name of the organisation was rechristened as “State Bank of India Staff Union Hyderabad Circle”.

Recognition:

The Working Committee of SBISUHC elected in the EGBM dated 25.12.1969 at Hyderabad and led by Com. P.V. Sastry, President and Com. P. Lakshmi Narasaiah, General Secretary was recognised as affiliate by the All India State Bank of India Staff Federation.

Com. V.B. Gyan Mothe, Deputy General Secretary (Head Quarters) was permitted at Central Office level to participate in bilateral talks with the Bank Management, conducted on 29th and 30th December 1969 at Mumbai.

The First Regional Conference of the Union covering members/branches of Krishna, Guntur, Ongole & West Godavari Districts was conducted at Vijayawada on 29th Aug 1970.

The first Working Committee Meeting of the Union was held on 29th August 1970 at Vijayawada.

Bank Management recognised SBISUHC as representative organisation of workmen of State Bank of India, Hyderabad Circle.

The Growth:

STATE BANK OF INDIA STAFF UNION HYDERABAD CIRCLE (SBISUHC)

• grown from strength to strength since the EGBM (Ex-ordinary General Body Meeting) on 25.12.1969 and now stands tall in the trade union arena as the strongest Union in the banking industry under the able leadership of our predecessors.
• Affiliated to All India State Bank of India Staff Federation, which in turn is affiliated to National Confederation of Bank Employees.
• The strongest affiliate of All India State Bank of India Staff Federation.
• laid the foundation in the formation of National Confederation of Bank Employees (NCBE) to which our All India State Bank of India Staff Federation is affiliated.
• The pride of playing its pivotal role in the formation of umbrella forum of the Banking Industry, United Forum of Bank Unions, which negotiates with Indian Banks’ Association towards improvement in the service conditions of bank employees at industry level.
• Celebrated its Golden Jubilee in the year 2019 and marching still strong.

THE PRIDE OF WORKMEN EMPLOYEES OF SBI, HYDERABAD CIRCLE

SBISUHC has grown into a powerful organisation representing the workmen employees of State Bank of India, Hyderabad Circle, which is NON-POLITICAL AND INDEPENDENT TRADE UNION, led by serving employees alone and not under the obligation of any political party. SBISUHC is an organisation of employees by the employees and for the employees.

The leadership of Union, ever since its birth, has strong conviction that political intrusion or influence over the trade union movement, far from improving the lots of the workers, would degenerate their welfare and worse still, drawn them into avoidable agitations and unwarranted strikes. The Union is of the firm view that Bank employees being white collared and enlightened lot in the society, there is no need to be either led or exploited by outside leadership.

SBISUHC has earned a place of pride and respectability for all its members and every member today feels safe and secure in all respects. This is one big achievement of SBISUHC.
